The Chaos Ring Demon belongs to me.
Silver the Hedgehog walked calmly up to the door of the house. He knocked on it twice, then took a step back and waited. A few seconds later, it opened to reveal Lara-Su the Echidna, a close friend of Silver's.
"Hi Silvs!" she said with a warm smile.
"Heya Lara." He returned the greeting. "I need to ask you something. Is Skye here?"
"Who's Skye? Lara asked, confused. Silver gestured to the middle of his chest.
"About this tall, fox, male, red fur, two tails, white muzzle, tail tips, chest?" Silver replied, describing his friend.
"Two tails?" Lara queryed. "Sounds a lot like that Prower guy who used to be friends with Dad. But no, never seen or heard of him."
"Well thanks for your help Lara. I didn't mean to waste your time."
"No probs Silver, I'll see you late- Aw snap! MANIK! SONIA! STOP RUNNING ON THE WALLS!" Lara screamed, closing the door as she spoke. Silver sighed and turned away.
That morning, Auto, a robot built in the image of a young Fiona Fox had turned up at his door, blabbering something about "Tails waking up and panicking about a disappearance and telling her to find him (Silver) and get him to check on Skye to make sure he was okay." So Silver had gone to check on the Prower boy. But no-one seemed to remember him. Concentrating, Silver brought a Chaos Emerald out of the pocket dimension where they were kept, and prepared to warp home, when an idea came to him. He changed his destination and teleported to the old shrine of the Master Emerald.
When he arrived, his heart sank as he saw the altar in flames. He shuddered when the banshee roar of Perfect Chaos reached his ears. Silver tucked into a ball and performed a near-perfect spindash towards the shrine. Climbing the steps, what he saw shocked him beyond all measure.
The God of Destruction was clashing with an equally large being, an immense black titan with hedgehog-like quills and the head of an ancient Dingo deity named something like Horus, with icy blue crysals grown into its skin. One of its crystaline wings nearly crushed Silver, but only succeeded in smashing him into the Master Emerald. He tried to fight the energy running into him, unsure of what the despair in his heart would make it do, but a soft, female voice whispered into his ear,
"Use this power…" So he did. He growled in pain as the Emerald transformed him, and both titans paused has a column of golden light shot skyward.
Super Silver rose into the air between the two gods, and fired a lance of Chaos energy at the shadowy threat to Angel Island. It looked at him, and, seeing that with Silver's help, Chaos would crush him, melted into the ground. A deep, booming voice filled Silver's mind.
"Thank You…"
"Chaos?" He thought back.
"Yes, it is I. I have seen your thoughts. I know what troubles you. Something has happened in the past, 25 years ago, that has resulted in Skye Prower never existing. Yet you and his father remember him."
"Why is that so? I remember things like that because it's my job to fix them, but Tails should be affected by the change."
"Miles remembers because he must inform you of Skye's disappearance, thus setting you off on your quest."
"How do I get back to that time?" Silver asked.
"With this. A Super Warp Ring. It works like a normal one, but can cross time as well as distances and Zones. Now GO!"
Silver hurled the ring into the air, and it widened into a portal. Jumping in, he decided on his course of action, hoping that he could alter the past.
To be continued
Fun fact: I think this chapter is sorely in need of a re-write.
I could use a re-write, but it's not really necessary.
I think Chapter 1 is rushed and Super Silver was unnecessary.
Okay, I can see why you might change it, but I can't quite see what you would change it to...
I'd draw it out a bit longer. Seriously, Chapter 5 covered THIRTEEN PAGES. This one covered about 3.
Also, Fiona would kill Blaze because Blaze was trying to kill her.
Fair enough.
